Since 2017, Betongelementforeningen (the Concrete Element Association) has been working on the idea of integrating EPD into BIM. By connecting the company's EPDs to the model, you get a project-specific environmental accounts that reflect the delivery, from production to finished delivery.
It provides a dynamic account of greenhouse gas emissions where, in addition to looking at the individual elements, you see the entirety of the building and the delivery.
From being a pilot project together with NORSUS, Betongelemenforeninge have developed EPD tags together with BuildingPoint Scandinavia and LCA.no, the tool that integrates EPD and BIM.
