How do you succeed with BIM in the Precast Concrete Element Factories?

A 30-minute introduction to how the precast concrete element industry uses Trimble products to increase their quality and efficiency.

BuildingPoint-Scandinavia has been working with 3D BIM solutions for the Norwegian construction industry for more than 25 years. During that time, Tekla has become the most important tool in the Norwegian precast concrete element industry, and together with the fabricators we have developed an understanding about the industry and how to overcome the succeed.

Based on the learnings over the years, we have expanded the scope of our delivery to ensure that our customers get an even greater use of their BIM models. This includes workflow management, interaction between construction site and factory, task management, sustainability reporting (EPD) and quality control using scanners and AR / MR.

In addition to being able to provide them with the complex geometry, we’ve achieved at least a 10% increase in precast concrete productivity and 50% more accurate detailing and fabrication through efficient modeling.
