LCA (Life Cycle Assessment) web training
- Free for everyone with Tekla maintance and subscription.
Why LCA? It provides both the big picture and the fine details. An LCA can both measure a building’s lifetime impacts and, at the same time, quantify the impact of a single material in the building. It is science-based and covers a wide range of environmental impacts.
Calculating greenhouse gas emissions (or a carbon footprint) is just one dimension of an LCA, which can also assess impacts such as ozone depletion, eutrophication, impact on human health and much more.
There are unlimited seats for this training. Still if somehow maximum capacity is reached, then we try to set up new trainings.
The trainings comply with national climate declaration regulations.
What you will learn
What is a climate declaration of a building? and what will be required?
What is the difference between the climate declaration and NS 3720? (relevant in Norway only.)
What climate data should be used? Why use product-specific data (EPDs) in your calculations?
How is it possible to automate calculations for climate declaration and save time with BIM solutions?
How to use classifications and graphs to visualize, communicate and understand the climate impact from the different parts of your building
About One Click LCA's advanced features and other tools to complete your climate declaration, such as Carbon Designer, benchmarking, data comparison and search for sustainable alternatives
Who is this training for?
The course is a basic education on climate calculation and is primarily aimed at those who work in the construction and real estate industry and who must produce, or work with, climate declarations for buildings. You can e.g. be an architect, designer, construction contractor, environmental consultant or environmental coordinator.
