AFTERNOON EVENT:

REBAR DETAILING - How to succeed with 3D BIM in reinforced concrete projects

Join us and our guest speakers from Lemvigh-Müller, NCC and CN3 for an afternoon dedicated to understanding the benefits of 3D BIM for rebar detailing in reinforced concrete projects!

Discuss, learn, and get inspiration from others across the supply chain in the industry – rounded off with a social event with snacks/light food & drinks!

…or go straight to the topics and agenda!

Hosted at the Lemvigh-Müller manufacturing plant, this event is designed to provide practical knowledge to help you to create BIM models that you can use for production/fabrication and on-site execution and collaboration.

Learn how different stakeholders in the ecosystem experience huge benefits - like saved time, increased quality and reduced cost without complicating the engineering and BIM model creation and management.

See how everyone – from the project managers, engineers to the workers on the construction site benefits from using the same model with all information needed at the various stages of a project.

The challenge in the industry

Rebar detailing and modeling for reinforced concrete structures often face challenges such as inaccuracies in 2D documentation causing miscommunication between design and fabrication and inefficiencies in on-site execution.

These issues can lead to delays, increased costs, and compromised structural quality.

Although 3D BIM has been around for may years, parts of the industry is slow to adopt the new methods, while others are far ahead!

How it can be solved

By integrating accurate design data with fabrication and construction workflows, you can ensure better communication, fewer errors, and more efficient project delivery.

Tekla Structures provides advanced tools for precise 3D modeling and detailing reinforcement.

Coupled with other tools, like Rhino Grasshopper and Trimble Connect, the models can be used efficiently in all steps of the project, from bidding and early cost estimates, through rebar purchasing, production and logistics.

The event:
Interaction and discussion!

While also leaving room for discussion, this afternoon event will feature presentations from leaders in the industry with practical experience from many projects, as well as introduction to methods and tools that creates a foundation for a complete digital workflow in reinforced concrete production:

Learn how Lemvigh-Müller effectively plan, produce and deliver reinforcing steel. They will also present examples of best practice in order to optimize rebar detailing and avoid common mistakes that prevent positive effects of BIM.

Learn from leading contractor NCC: How to use BIM in advanced projects throughout all phases of the project – from bids and early phase planning to engineering for production, on-site execution, construction and quality control.

Danish engineering consultant company CN3 will discuss what is appropriate detailing level in rebar modeling to achieve “buildability” and optimize production processes, ensuring efficient fabrication and on-site execution. They will also showcase the possibilities offered by Tekla’s API, including the development of custom plugins and extensions, to address the challenges and requirements unique to different projects, providing tailored solutions that enhance productivity and streamline workflows.

Get insight and a clear overview of methods and tools from the BuildingPoint Scandinavia team to help you succeed, including:

  • How to create and use BIM models to improve communication with fabricators and contractors with Trimble Connect and advanced worklow extensions.

We look forward to welcoming you to this engaging workshop session, followed by snacks/light food and drinks!

Who should attend?

Are you an engineer who believes that 3D BIM has untapped potential in your company and projects?

Are you a contractor or sub-contractor/fabricator frustrated with 2D drawings that are out of date, hard to read and lacking information?

Are you a project manager or owner and wonder why some projects succeed with the digital transformation with better performance… while others lag behind with the older methods?

…then you should register now! (If in doubt, why not reach out to us for a discussion?)
