BuildingPoint becomes member of Betongelement-Foreningen in Denmark
After many year of working with the Norwegian Betongelementforeningen it was time for BuildingPoint to engage with the Danish concrete precast community through the association Betonelement-Foreningen!
BuildingPoint Scandinavia is Betoneelement-Foreningen's newest member. BuildingPoint’s concept allows builders, engineers, manufacturers and contractors to optimize their work processes throught the entire design-build-operate life cycle.
BuildingPoint Scandinavia, which has it’s Danish office in Hørsholm, is a Scandinavian collaboration between EDRMedeso and Trimtec.

With our digital solutions and open platforms, we can contribute to creating a smarter, more sustainable and innovative future within construction and infrastructure.
BuildingPoint looks forward to meeting the members of the Bentonelement-Foreningen and gain greater insight into the challenges and visions for the Danisk industry
- In BuildingPoint Scandinavia, we see three primary challenges within construction and infrastructure: communication, planning and collaboration, explains Simon Sloth (Sales Manager) in BuildingPoint Scandinavia's Danish department.
- These are challenges where, with our digital solutions and open platforms, we can contribute to creating a smarter, more sustainable and innovative future within construction and infrastructure.
Solutions that reduce costs
BuildingPoint's solutions include modeling and calculation software (Tekla Structures and Idea Statica), cloud collaboration platforms and Field Technology solutions within Scan-To-BIM, as-built verification and Mixed Reality.
- We help by offering solutions in all aspects of a building. With very detailed models and a streamlined workflow, it is possible to avoid errors in models and production as well as connect models with production machines. The sum of this helps to reduce the total costs for both the client, engineers, manufacturers and contractors, says Simon Sloth, who adds that the company also offers e.g. Trimble Connect, which is an open platform where information can be shared, visualized and commented on.
Communication is a key word
- In this way, relevant stakeholders are connected, and silos are broken down by putting people and projects together so that everyone has the right and up-to-date information available, Simon Sloth says, pointing out that communication is a key word for BuildingPoint Scandinavia, where Trimble Connect is the backbone , so data can be shared on computer, tablet, phone, Trimble SiteVision or in XR10 HoloLens.
In addition to software and hardware, BuildingPoint Scandinavia also provides a wide range of other services as a consultant, where resources have been prioritized and allocated within Digital Manufacturing, AEC, process development and VDC.
- With our membership in Betonelement-Foreningen, our goal is to offer BIM solutions that create value for the entire value chain. We want to introduce very detailed models that can be reused within all phases of a project, thus reducing errors, improving quality and optimizing the bottom line. And not least, we want to get to know the members and gain insight into their challenges and where we can contribute to development in the industry, concludes Simon Sloth.
