This year’s release brings developments in AI-assisted tools, drawing and design efficiency, and connected project data across Tekla Structures, Tekla Structural Designer, Tekla Tedds, and Tekla PowerFab.

Tekla Structures 2026 introduces AI and cloud tools, intelligent data workflows and enhanced support for design deliverables, to boost productivity and keep office and site aligned.
AI and Cloud-Enabled Tools for Automated Productivity
Tekla Structures 2026 adds more AI and cloud-based support to reduce manual work.
The updated AI Cloud Fabrication Drawings service improves template matching, drawing cloning, and associativity, helping users produce fabrication drawings faster while keeping review and control in the process.

Trimble is also expanding its in-product AI assistants. These tools help users find information faster and, in preview, carry out selected modeling tasks through natural language.
Accelerate Design at All Project Phases
Tekla Structures 2026 also improves day-to-day modeling and drawing production. Side-by-side model and drawing editing makes it easier to keep views, annotations, and dimensions aligned while working.
Drawing tools have also been refined, with easier 2D detailing, better sketching tools, and improved support for review and markup workflows.
Tekla has also made it easier to reuse work by copying content from another model or drawing, helping teams save time on standard details and repeated design tasks.

There are also targeted improvements for rebar detailing, bridge workflows, and model view management, aimed at reducing friction in larger or more complex projects.
Intelligent Data for Office and Site Alignment
Tekla Structures 2026 also improves project data flow. IFC export gives users more control over what information is shared and how it is structured, helping coordination across stakeholders and software platforms.
Trimble Connect integration is expanded as well. Property data can be used more directly inside Tekla Structures, and PDF drawings can be uploaded and linked to model objects automatically, giving office, shop, and field teams easier access to current information in context.
